Tuning into our bodies is a powerful thing. And something I’m doing more of lately, checking in with my nervous system, my gut, my emotions and listening and feeling my way rather than thinking or over thinking my way though things.

How does this relate to jewellery? I always say go with what makes your gut and heart sing. You’ll know the right piece or stone because you’ll feel it, it’s not thought lead but feeling lead when you purchase jewellery.

Jewellery is so deeply personal which adds to what makes it special 🫶

I’ve been leaning into the stillness recently. Enjoying pausing on the beach, at home with music playing lightly in the background. Like a recalibration to myself. Life is still in motion however I’m slowing down, pausing to hear what is being shown to me. Like I’m truly getting to know me and letting go of all that no longer fits the way it once did.

Lately, I’ve been sitting surrounded by boxes, my current packaging, past designs, and a few beautiful new samples (and some just a big ❌) thinking deeply about how I can elevate the experience of receiving a piece from me.

When you open your jewellery, I want you to feel something, a quiet sense of luxury, care, and meaning. The packaging should have its own life and story, yet still be gentle on our planet.

I’ve previously looked to the cosmetic world for inspiration; they seem to have a wider range of sustainable packaging options. But jewellery packaging is its own kind of magic, it needs to cradle something precious, tell a story before the piece is even revealed.

So, I’d really love to hear from you, what do you love to see (and not see!) when you open an order? (Not just jewellery) Do you enjoy layers of discovery, tissue and ribbon, or do you prefer simple, minimal, and straightforward? Your thoughts will truly help shape what’s next.

This delicate, paper-thin square is 18ct yellow gold easy solder. One of those hidden materials you never see, yet absolutely essential to jewellery making if the design has multiple joins.

Solder isn’t the same as sheet or wire gold. You couldn’t make a ring from it. So I would love to know. How much would you expect this to cost me?

They take forever, the reach isn’t what it used to be, and I find myself missing the simple, old-school way of sharing.

So I’m taking a step back. I’ll still sprinkle in a reel now and then, but not every post. Instead, I want this space to feel more authentic, more connected, and more “me.”

AI isn’t perfect, and I feel it in no way replaces the human touch. However what I have learnt over the years using it, that’s it’s another tool in your tool box to help. These renders of my sketches aren’t perfect but they do save me hours doing by hand, and means customer get a quick view of their design before it’s made. People do this in CAD which is amazing, but is a whole other skill in itself and has a different feel again. This feels more alined with me and my designs. I use consciously as with any system or material within my business. And it’s amazing what it has helped me achieve. One day, I’d love to offer hand render designs, but right now, with where I am with my business, AI supports my growth. And I’m choosing to be very open with you, as I am with all aspects of my work. It’s not for everyone and that is ok. But it can be that amazing tool that’s sometimes needed.

It started with one of the best gifts I’ve ever been given. A disco ball, right when I needed it most. Made of broken, cut-up mirrors, yet somehow its beauty fills a room with joy and light.

I realised… that’s what life does too. The hard moments, the ones that feel like they’ve splintered us, don’t actually take away our shine, they just shape how we reflect the world back.

So there I was at @wildernesshq trousers from a car boot sale, top from Vinted, dancing under the sun. And in that moment, I wasn’t just wearing the disco ball. I was the disco ball. The universe had clearly been planning this one. ✨

✨ AI & Me — A Creative Collaboration I Didn’t See Coming ✨

This weekend, I tried something new.
I took a few of my rough jewellery sketches, just pencil ideas and used AI to visualise them in 18ct gold with diamonds.

The result? Honestly… I’m still processing.
It’s filled me with excitement and questions. As a traditional goldsmith, my work is made by hand, guided by feel and intuition. But suddenly, this gave me a way to show you what I see in my mind, before I ever pick up a tool.

I’ve never used renderings or digital previews in my process for my own business, preferring to work from my minds eye but It’s got me thinking: could this help me grow Rebekah Ann Jewellery in new ways?

When I shared the AI images on my Stories (clearly marked with “Rebekah Ann & AI”), the response was surprisingly positive. People engaged, DM’d with favourites, and saw something they loved. It helped bring the piece to life.

And of course, as someone committed to sustainability, I’ve been looking into the environmental impact too, because every tool we use leaves a footprint, even digital ones.

What we ended up with is an absolute beauty of a ring—completely unique, bold in its own story, and filled with personal meaning. It was such a joy bringing her vision to life.

What I especially love is that she didn’t try to recreate what was lost—instead, she embraced something new, allowing this ring to stand proudly in its own right. It honours both the ring she once wore and the family heirloom that lives on through it.

This piece makes me think of rays of sunshine or sunsets and love how she can wear if different ways 💛

On my birthday morning, one of my dearest friends handed me this disco ball by the sea, and I lit up like the sun itself. Pure magic. However my Journey started a few years before! While at home on the sofa nursing a flare in my knees I made a decision that would change my life forever. Amidst the chaos, with a Dirty vodka martini in hand and rugby on in the background, the beginnings of my business were born. And normally, I do know where everything is… mostly. But lately, I’ve been having so much fun in the creative flow that I’ve started playing fast and loose with this way of working. So time has come for an early spring clean. Tidy bench, tidy mind!

I like to see how my ideas evolve and transform rather than always being ridged to an idea. And sometimes this means a piece will sit on my bench while I sit and let my intuition guide me on where to go next. Which is the case with this wedding ring. I had a vision for the next stage, however something within said to hit pause. And so I have.

I had a vision for the next stage, however something within said to hit pause. And so I have.

Almost every workshop I’ve worked in has been cold—some so bitterly cold that I can still remember the sting in my fingers. But this workshop, the one I’ve called home for a couple of years now, has always felt different. It’s always been a warm space to me—until this year. For the first time, I’m feeling the chill settle in, despite layers and numerous cups of tea!

It’s got me thinking back to those early days when working in icy workshops would leave me with chilblains, and every task was done with stiff fingers and numb toes. Thankfully, since stepping out on my own, I’ve left those behind. But today? Today is one of those days when I just can’t seem to shake the cold, no matter how hard I try.

There’s something about the winter cold that feels raw and real—much like the work I do. Crafting jewellery is a tactile art, and on days like this, it reminds me how deeply connected we are to the elements. Every piece I make carries a bit of this journey: a story shaped by both warmth and cold, comfort and discomfort, moments when I felt invincible and those when I couldn’t feel my fingers.
